Hi-Tech ULTIMATE Fabric Shades

Custom manufactured - only in our Arvada warehouse - according to the highest standards of quality, the patented Hi-Tech® Shade was created in 1992 by DSC’s Founder and then President, Richard W. Robertson. It emphasizes the best in innovation, design, style, and technology and offers endless decorating possibilities with a number of styles and fabrics, including Customers Own Material (COM). Hi-Tech® can also be combined with pleated sheers to create a day/night shade. Materials Used Create Precisely Sized Product
Hi-Tech® Fabric Shades use a bonding and fusing method with no stitching involved. They are manufactured using exclusive clear Thermo UV Resistant slats and brass grommets. The metal rails at top and bottom and stabilizing slats at each pleat assure precise shade width and length and a uniform look on the face.

Easy Installation – Not Like Installing a Soft Treatment
Because Hi-Tech® Shades are manufactured using hard window covering type steel and aluminum headrails with snap-in metal brackets, it’s easy to measure the window and to install the product. This technology allows for close tolerances and uniform light lines on inside mount.

Blackout Lining is Standard
Triple-pass black out lining is standard on all Hi-Tech® styles. It provides excellent insulating properties and a high standard of light control. Light-filtering lining can be substituted and unlined shades are also manufactured according to designer specs.

Wide Shades Manufactured in One Piece
Hi-Tech® Shades can be manufactured in one piece up to 190” wide due to extensive control options listed below including motorization systems (PDF) assembled in house. Hi-Tech® Shade size possibilities and functions are endless!

• Top Down/Bottom Up available
• Matching 4.5” Soft Valance included
• Accent banding and trims or cording can be added using DSC trims or COM
• Standard headrail: utilizes pull cords in front for easy access, smooth operation, and tight stacking.
• Easy up or Powerlift Headrails: medium weight and heavy weight clutch systems that allow larger shades to be made on one headrail.
• Motorized Headrails: Lift up to 45 sq ft with battery motor or expand up to 150 sq ft using 120-volt motorization. Take advantage of all the options including home automation technology with either motor.

• Galaxy: Flat, tuck style
• Waterfall: Soft, flowing pleat styles
• Mirage: Soft, pouf style
• Variett: Tailored vertical pleat style
• Infinity: Any of the above shades styles with pleated shade under the bottom hem for a 2 on 1 headrail or day/night shade choice.
• Elite: Any of the above styles made with insulating cellular pleats that hide cords and working parts allowing a clean and finished look outside the window.
